Abstract：The word Anti-Semitism which appears as a special term is less than 100 years. But in the Europe, anti-Semitic ideology with contempt, disgust, hatred, and even linked to exterminating all the Jews. The image of Jewish people is also distorted in the literary works.

This essay will focus on Anti-Semitism in Oliver Twist, and to explore the reasons of the formation of Anti-Semitism. The full text will be pided into five parts. The first part gives a brief introduction to Charles Dickens and the book Oliver Twist and discusses about the literature review. The second part analyzes the origin of Anti-Semitism and the embodiment of Anti-Semitism in literary works, and analyzes the characteristics of Anti-Semitism in different works. The third part will give a close reading of the novel, mainly through the description of the old Jew Fagin, Sykes and Nancy to analyze the Anti-Semitism in the novel. The fourth part analyzes the influence of social background and the social Darwinism for Anti-Semitism in Oliver Twist. And the last part makes a conclusion.

简析狄更斯《雾都孤儿》中的反犹主义

摘 要：反犹主义这个词出现的时间不超过一百年。在欧洲，反犹意识形态带有鄙视、厌恶、憎恨，甚至消灭所有犹太人的情感。犹太人的形象在文学作品中也屡次遭受歪解。

本文将集中研究《雾都孤儿》中的反犹主义，并探讨其形成的深层原因。全文分为五部分。导言简要介绍作家及其作品，小说《雾都孤儿》的主要内容和国内外研究现状。第二部分分析反犹主义的由来以及反犹主义在文学作品的体现，并分析反犹主义在不同作品当中的特点及原因。第三部分通过对小说的细读，主要通过作者对老犹太费金、盗贼赛克斯以及南希的描写分析小说中的反犹主义。第四部分分析狄更斯所处的社会时代以及当时出现的社会达尔文主义对《雾都孤儿》中的反犹主义产生的影响。结论对《雾都孤儿》中的反犹主义进行总结概括，并指出在当时的社会环境，人们根深蒂固的种族观念。
