Abstract：Revenge, as one of the most typical and classic themes in literature, is used in all kinds of literature works by writers which attracts readers’ attraction to have further and detailed reading. Revenge has been a popular theme among a number of readers and writers. And revenge as the classic theme in revenge also has great value to research. Wuthering Heights and the Count of Monte Cristo as two famous novels which mainly involve the revenge to their enemies own great similarities and differences. The main characters both suffer from the unfair treatment and betrayal from people who they trust, and they also suffer from the unfair treatment from the whole society. In this thesis, the following aspects will be taken into consideration in order to have direct contrast and comparison to the revenge in the two novels. The characters of Heathcliff and Edmond Dantes, the cause of revenge, the method and way they take and the plan they make, the different choices after they succeed in revenge, and most importantly, their religion beliefs will be taken into comparison.

《基督山伯爵》与《呼啸山庄》中复仇元素的对比分析

摘  要：复仇作为文学中经典的主题，在古往今来的各种文学作品中都被人广泛运用，读者也均对以复仇为主题的文学作品表现出极大的兴趣。复仇主题以其独有的艺术形式，深受作者和读者的喜爱。复仇作为经典的文学主题之一，自然是值得进行研究的。而《基督山伯爵》和《呼啸山庄》作为两本经典的以复仇为主题的文学小说，其主人公遭受了相似的不公平待遇，遭受了自己信任的人的背叛，遭受了来自不公平社会的迫害，在他们当中有值得比较的方面。本篇文章将从两本小说的复仇元素出发，探讨希刺克厉夫和爱德蒙邓蒂斯之间的复仇差异。本文会从以下几个方面出发，进行探讨：两人之间的性格特征、两人复仇的原因和起因、两人复仇的工具和方式、两人复仇的计划性、两人复仇后的心理活动和所作所为。除此之外，两人对宗教的看法和两人受到的宗教约束也是区分他们两人之间的不同结局的因素，本文将就此进行分析。
