Abstract：The thesis interprets The Triumph of The Egg by Sherwood Andersen from the perspective of black humor. With black humor as its theoretical support, this thesis analyzes the short novel from three aspects. First by analyzing the absurd world, it reveals people are in the distorted reality and inescapable trap. American dream is an unreachable dream for ordinary people in the United States. Second by analyzing tragic characters, it tends to show the tragic fate of the family. However, it is the same fate for those who are chasing American dream. Third by analyzing the discontinued scenes, it aims to show the traditional plots are masked by independent scenes and superficial phenomena. It elucidates the darkness of the society. In conclusion, the thesis interprets the novel from the black humor, and it helps the reader appreciate the novel from absurd world, tragic characters and the discontinued scenes.

摘要：本论文将从黑色幽默的角度来解读舍伍德 安德森的《鸡蛋的胜利》。 本文以黑色幽默作为理论，从三个方面分析了这篇短篇小说。首先，通过 对荒诞世界的分析，揭示出人们正处于扭曲的现实和不可避免的陷阱之中。 美国梦对于美国的普通人来说是一个无法实现的梦想。第二 分析悲剧人 物，从而表现出家庭的悲剧命运。然而，对于追逐美国梦的人来说，他们 的命运是相同的。第三通过分析断续的场景,目的在说明传统的情节被独立 的场景和肤浅的现象掩盖，阐明了社会的黑暗。总的来说，本文从黑色幽 默这一角度解读了这部小说，它帮助读者从荒诞的世界、悲剧人物和断断 续续的场景来欣赏小说。

1. Introduction
Sherwood Anderson, a mid-westerner, is one of the most influential writers of the early 20th century. His main representative works include: Winesburg Ohio, The Triumph of the Egg and Other Stories and Death in the Woods and Other Stories, Andersen’s fictions are famous for its simplicity, lively prose style and the colloquial language. He broke the novel structure pattern of traditional novels with the loose structure. The plot is not obvious and did not emphasis on the integrity of the story, and it only highlights the expression of a few slice of life episodes. He has carried out various new innovation in artistic technique. He was one of the earliest writers to explore the role of the unconscious in life in the United States, and tried to find new humorous techniques. Andersen’s writing style and ideas had a profound effect on William Faulkner, Ernest Hemingway, Gerrard, Wolf, Steinbeck and many other American writers. Andersen saw the machine in the shackles of role in modern life which captured people’s free inpiduality. He thinks that the modern industrialized society life is degraded, shameful.
