The third and fourth chapter will study specific examples related to Hebrew and Hellenistic elements in Harry Potter and the cultural reenchantment respectively through theory of Archetypal Criticism. After finishing these two chapters, we can find that how actually the ancient cultures come to reenchantment, which means Hebrew and Hellenistic culture is living another energetic life in modern society, in modern literary works.

In the fifth part, according to the phenomenon figured in above four chapters, this paper eventually tries to deduct reasonable conclusions and make valuable enlightenments. 

Chapter Two  Literature Review

Since the first Harry Potter published in1997, Potter series has become an eye-catching icon. From fictions to relevant industries, researches on Harry Potter and its related topics never come to an end, and later expanding to fields of religion, anthropology, linguistics, feminism, and so on. In the area of literature, the group of scholars and readers try to interpret Harry Potter from almost every degree, such as background, characters, and plots. 

However, Harry Potter is still charming due to its close linkage to cultural roots: Hebrew Culture and Hellenism. Hebrew Culture is also termed as Christian Culture and Hellenism is referred to Greek-Rome culture, which are regarded as roots of European cultures.

This chapter will demonstrate the overall findings in China and abroad, made up of three sub-chapters. Before detailed literature review, author give a basic explanation on the theory of Archetypal Criticism in detail about its founders, theoretical development, relevant concepts and applications in the field of literature, taking Harry Potter as an example, which must be helpful in comprehending specific literary symbols. And then, we will respectively demonstrate researches done abroad and in China. In these two parts, the author will display previous research results of the global and contrast the differences between studies abroad and at home. Based on those results, this paper tries to make a conclusion and get enlightenments with the help of Archetypal Criticism.
