Abstract: Ming city wall in Nanjing has a long history of 600 years since it built，it has a very high value of culture, architecture and history. It is a precious cultural heritage. With the development of the times, Ming city wall is given the new value as urban landscape. This paper is based on the theory of heritage corridor, exploring the Ming city wall and the surrounding resources’ protection and utilization. Through the heritage corridor area defined, resource arrangement and present situation analysis of Ming city wall in Nanjing , putting forward specific measures and suggestions of building the Ming city wall heritage corridor, in series and integration Ming city wall and the surrounding resources, infrastructure and ecological environment, highlights its historical and cultural value, ecological value and economic value，providing a new train of thought to protect and utilize the Ming City, to make it can development symbiotic with the Nanjing in the new era.

南京明城墙始建于1366年，现存25.091公里，是目前世界最长、规模最大的城市城墙，1988年被列为全国重点文物保护单位，有“世界第一城垣”的美誉。
南京明城墙分布于城市之中，已与南京城的人文、社会、地理、生态、经济环境融为一体，其独特性决定了它保护和发展的重要性。近年来，南京市为推动明城墙申请世界文化遗产逐步开展多项修缮保护工作，但目前，无论是城墙保护亦或是发展均不够充分，存在不科学之处。本文通过提出遗产廊道概念，为城墙本体及其所处环境的整体保护与发展提出了新思路，进而推动南京城墙申报世界文化遗产。在旅游业迅猛发展的今天，南京明城墙申遗成功后，其旅游价值也将得到充分挖掘。除城墙本体建筑价值得到认可外，其沿线遗留的大量物质文化遗产、流传的许多历史传说和动人故事，都将成为明城墙的文化遗产宝库的一部分，得到保护和传承。
