BizTalk Adapter Pack 32 bit version must be installed

I've installed BizTalk Services SDK (x64 version) but unable to install BizTalk Adapter Service (x64).

Following the installer I receive an error:

BizTalk Adapter Pack 32 bit version must be installed.

If I try and install x86 version of BizTalk Services SDK, I receive the following error:

Installation of 32 bit application on 64 bit system is not supported. Install 64 bit version.

Can these MSI be fixed?

Installation is on Windows Server 2012 with VS 2012.

Yes, you do need a valid BizTalk Server license for using BizTalk Adapter Pack.  There are couple of options:

    For development use and trying out your solution, you can use the BizTalk Server Eval SKU.  That comes with limited time-bombed use.
    If you have signed up for BizTalk Services Premium, it comes along with a supplemental BizTalk Server Standard license that is valid as long as you have a valid BizTalk Services license.
    If you need just the SQL adapter, you can use the BizTalk Branch edition.  For other adapters, you will need a BizTalk Standard/Enterprise license.
